Behavioral Support Services, Inc. Mental Health Case Coordinator

We are Growing and adding on a new position!!!  We are seeking a skilled and experienced Case Coordinator to manage ongoing services to our clients.   Duties include but are not limited to the following:
        Open electronic client files
        Obtain authorization for services
        Assign staff to individual cases
        Review and monitor reports
        Prepare correspondence and communication
        Execute a variety of tasks crucial to the efficient operation of BSS

Education and Experience:  High School Diploma, some college preferred, 3+ years experience in office setting, Knowledge of MS Products (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Strong oral & written skills, Detail oriented, able to complete tasks independently and within deadlines.

Marketing Case Coordinator

Job Description:  This position is responsible for marketing, coordinating and managing autism programs.  This will include implementing marketing campaigns for onsite visits to pediatricians offices, outbound calls and follow ups.  Establish and maintain good rapport with referral sources.  Open electronic case files and verify receipt of documentation and obtain initial and concurrent authorizations for services.  Assign cases to appropriate staff, review and monitor reports, prepare correspondence & communications.  Execute a variety of tasks crucial to the efficient operations of BSS and perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor degree preferably in Business or Public Relations with 3+ years working experience in marketing.  They should also demonstrate excellent public speaking, writing and communication skills, a strong customer service background and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Description:   The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists offer psychosocial and psychiatric rehabilitation services that help patients adjust to their social environment.   Then, with the assigned therapist, develop a treatment plan that helps a patient learn skill sets needed for independent living.  Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists combine daily medication use, independent living and social skills training, support to clients and their families, housing, pre-vocational and transitional employment rehabilitation training, social support and network enhancement, structured activities to diminish tendencies towards isolation and withdrawal and teaching of the recipient and family about symptom management, medication and treatment options. Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists monitor patient's progress, help them achieve their social integration goals and intervene in crisis situations.


The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate his or her ability to apply therapeutic rehabilitation knowledge, skills enhancement activities/techniques, assess individual needs and interests, determine appropriate rehabilitative objectives, and develop activities/groups to meet these objectives, evaluate and document client response and progress.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Provide psychiatric rehabilitation skills training to clients served
• Provide one-on-one time with an assigned client on a weekly basis
• Work with family members, extended family members, and other service providers involved with the client
• Participate in community based activities to teach the client hands-on life skills
• Follow the client's treatment plan to reach the goals set for the client
• Maintain progress notes on daily activities with the client and complete a monthly progress summary
• Meet with the client's clinician to review their progress
• Make and return phone calls related to the client as needed
• Complete review as necessary

Hours: As arranged with assigned family

Educational Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation or a related therapeutic discipline (Recreational or Occupational Therapy, Art or Music Therapy, Social Work, Psychology) with experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to problem-solve, to work as a team and with a diverse population is a must.

Mental Health Counselor

Job Description:   The mental health counselor should have experience providing counseling in the areas of substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual trauma, disruptive behaviors, attachment issues, anger management etc., as well as parenting skills. Therapists should be proficient in providing individual, family and group treatment, in addition to, assessing client needs, planning and developing treatment goals, completing treatment plans, meeting deadlines and maintaining detailed records of all sessions.

Qualified therapists must have a Master Degree in Social Services and either be licensed or obtain registered intern status with the State of Florida. Most services are provided in the field so reliable transportation is a must, as well as, cell phone and internet access.  Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and the use of email attachments is mandatory.  Unlicensed therapists are required to participate in four hours supervision per month.

Behavior Analyst

Job Description:   The Behavior Analyst will provide services to adults and children with developmental disabilities.  Services are provided in the home and community settings.  Duties will include Behavioral Assessments, Parent Training, Consultation with schools and group homes, Developing, Implementing and Monitoring Behavioral Plans, Submission of monthly and annual reports, and may also include supervision of lower level staff.  All applicants must be Board Certified or eligible.  We are a Drug Free Workplace Agency, Background screening is required for this position.

Mental Health Targeted Case Manager

Job Description:  The Mental Health Targeted Case Manager will provide intake, assessment and referral services to ensure access to needed services and encourage proactive efforts in achieving optimal emotional, social, behavioral, and developmental functioning within the home, school, and community settings for the Medicaid recipient.   

Qualified applicants must have previous Mental Health TCM experience. A Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, or a related human services field with at least one year full-time experience working with children/adults with serious emotional disturbances or have a Bachelors degree and three years of experience.  Complete or agree to complete AHCA approved targeted case management training.  Have knowledge of available community resources and be compliant with state and federal statutes, rules and policies that affect the targeted population. 

Must also have knowledge and compliance with all Medicaid documentation requirements, provide crisis intervention; collaborate with outside agencies, and coordinate implementation of all recommended services.  Develop linkages with other programs and organizations that provide direct and indirect services.  Provide advocacy, monitoring, follow-up, and maintenance of client records and documentation.  This position requires the applicant be able to take initiative and work independently, it also requires significant local travel  which requires a current, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Mentor

Job Description:   Be a big brother or big sister.  Mentors are needed in Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties for children ages 0-18.  The mentor should be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma.  Must go through a background screening and have no arrests in order to work with children.  We are a Drug Free Workplace Agency, Drug Testing and Background screening are required for this position.  Make your own hours.  This is not a full time position but you can work as many hours as you want by picking up multiple clients.  Mentor clients are approved anywhere from 4 to 8 hours of mentoring per month.  This position is a great second income.
