Behavior
Analysis and Therapy
After conducting a comprehensive assessment to determine "why" an individual exhibits an undesirable behavior, our therapists develop an individual plan to help reduce and/or eliminate the behavior. This plan is taught to the client as well as other individuals that have contact with them. The list can include parents, caregivers, teachers, employers, etc.
Case Management
This service is designed to help families obtain self sufficiency by linking individuals and families to resources in the community. Our team is made up of qualified and professionally trained Targeted Case Managers. The staff are available to assist with but not limited to:
Accessing Medical Care (PCP, Psychiatric, Neurology, etc.)
Coordinating Educational and Social Services such as tutoring and mentoring
Vocational Assistance
Housing (emergency shelters, affordable housing, etc.)
Food and Clothing
Emergency Funding
Mental Health Counseling & Therapy
Our staff address psychological, social, medical and vocational aspects of an individual's life. Individuals and families are able to make positive changes as a result of gaining insight into problems. Treatment methods in counseling therapy are guided by well developed theories and diagnoses. We offer treatment for, but not limited to:

Mentoring
Behavioral Support Services mentoring program helps young people to find the support and guidance they need to build productive and meaningful lives. Our program is individualized to each youth. Mentors provide a positive role model to children at risk. They establish trust, respect the youths view points, are caring, friendly and involve youth in planning. There are a number of ways that mentoring can help a youth.
Psychiatric Services
Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are provided at our private Winter Park office. Board certified by American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, our psychiatrist, who has over 30 years experience, specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation
This service combines daily medication use, independent living and social skills training; support for clients and their families; housing, pre-vocational and transitional employment rehabilitation training; social support and network enhancement. Activities include development and maintenance of necessary daily living skills; food planning and preparation; money management; maintenance of the living environment; and training in appropriate use of community services.
Substance Abuse Treatment
The substance abuse treatments received at Behavioral Support Services are by specialized therapists. A thorough assessment is done to address the concerns regarding the alcohol abuse and drug use or abuse. With the clinical assessment, we will be able to properly diagnose and treat the substance abuse disorders. Individual Treatment Plans are developed to help identify triggers and achieve a drug free future.
